A drive in a Thunderbolt enclosure shows up as your drive — not as "Intel Ash Creek". Speed, capacity, eject and the speed test all work, against Thunderbolt's real ceiling (≈ 2.8 GB/s on TB3), not the 40 Gb/s printed on the box.
